Hello,
My name is Rosa and I am a single mom working full-time as an Outreach Care Coordinator at Family Service Association while currently working on my Master's Degree at Grand Canyon University online school to become a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with an emphasis on trauma.
Thirteen years ago God placed a burden on my heart to reach out to youth and the elderly, and to build a non-profit Christian organization that serves these vulnerable populations. Before Shepherd's Heart was birthed in 2018, Sheri Casali, a fellow Rez Group leader, and I met together every week to pray, and also join in outreaches and training that involved foster care and trauma.
Shepherd's Heart is inspired by James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts are pure and faultless is this; to look after the orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
This small group meets twice a month. We meet one day to outreach and another to study God's Word. We also seek God's leading and guidance towards building the non-profit organization through outreach, learning from other nonprofit organizations, and training.
