Hello,
I'm Chuck Downs, a 32 year old white dude, married to Sharlene, a beautiful God-fearing woman of Nigerian descent. I'm a marine veteran of 2 tours, a graduate of CCRI and URI in engineering, and I am recently credentialed with the Assemblies of God.
I've attending Restoration Church since 2009, during which time I have served as an usher, livestream tech, youth leader and REZ kids volunteer - until early 2019, when I was asked to lead the "The Movement", the Young Adults REZ Group.
The Movement is for young adults ages 18 - 35. Its Mission and Vision is to build community through humble, open, and transparent relationships centered on the good news of Jesus Christ. We want to see young adults whole and in a restored relationship with God. We value inclusiveness, accountability, discipleship, the Word of God, and serving others through our individual giftings. We do this by gathering on the first Friday evening of each month. We have bible studies and food at various homes, fun get-aways, and quarterly outreaches.
