ABOUT THUNDER CATS ...

Thundercats is a small group for teen boys, grades 8–12, equipping them to grow into strong young men in Christ. Together, they learn and practice discipleship, strengthen their foundation in faith, and deepen their knowledge of Jesus—His character, His ways, and His call for their lives.

More than just a group, Thundercats is a brotherhood where teens can encourage one another, grow in integrity, and walk boldly in their faith.

Our mission is rooted in Titus 2:6–8 (NKJV): “Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.”

Through teaching, mentorship, and fellowship, Thundercats challenges and inspires teen boys to live with purpose, walk in the authority of Christ, and reflect His truth in every part of their lives.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR ...

AJ Burton has been a member of Restoration Church since 2022, where he serves faithfully as both a worship leader and youth leader. Raised in church, ministry became a natural part of his life from an early age, and over the last decade he has been dedicated to mentoring, leading, and investing in the next generation of teachers of the word and worship leaders as an ordained minister.

With a heart for youth, AJ has worked in education for over five years and is also a graduate of Restoration Church School of Preaching, and is currently pursuing his Master of Education in Youth Development. His background in both ministry and education allows him to connect with and guide young people in meaningful and impactful ways. His mission is to help teens discover their God-given purpose, to walk in the authority found through Jesus Christ, and to live lives that draw others closer to God.
