Children's Director, Jen Burgio

Hey! I’m Jen Burgio, I am the Children’s Director and my family has been attending Restoration Church since 2012.

My husband and I have four children Aidan 16, Adriana 10, Avrie 8 and Addison 2 and a super cute boxer named Rocky.

I have been going to church since I was 9 years old and over the years have come to know and trust God in ways I never thought I could. He is faithful! I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 13 years in both public and private schools cultivating minds and now have the opportunity to be in a different kind of classroom cultivating spirits. As Psalm 127:4 says, I strongly believe that children are “like arrows in the hands of a warrior”. Our job is to aim them toward God, our target!

Birthday: December 7

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Theater from Rhode Island College

Books: Girls With Swords by Lisa Bevere, The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Places: Martha’s Vineyard, the spa

Sports: : I can appreciate the Patriots, but like watching basketball (especially when my son is playing)

Hobbies: Baking, singing, reading, traveling and shopping

Dislikes: Extreme cold, extreme heat and phony people

Odd Facts: I can only whistle by breathing in, I love to smell baby feet

Fun Fact: I can be quite spontaneous

TV Shows: HGTV, Chopped, This is Us

Music: Israel Houghton, People and Songs, soft jazz

Life Scripture: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
