Addictions come in many forms. An addiction is anything that you repeatedly give time and energy to that hurts rather than helps the quality of your life. Addictions are things or behaviors that we turn to for comfort instead of turning to God.
Recovery is possible. Recovery starts with spiritual change and spiritual change starts with an honest assessment of ourselves and the turning of our will over to a power greater than ourselves, God.
ARISE is a 12 Step Program. If you want to experience a greater freedom, come to ARISE. We meet every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, at 244 Lexington Avenue, North Providence, RI. We are in the Youth Center at the bottom of the parking lot. All are welcome regardless of creed, religion, or the absence of religion. The only requrement to attend is the desire to be set free and stop living in the insanity of being controlled by anything other than God.
Noel Sierra is man in long term recovery, who believes in the healing power and the freedom that comes when you put all your trust in God. He has been working in the recovery community since 2009; and has worked as a House Manager, Recovery Treatment Coordinator, Recovery Coach, and Recovery Coach Supervisor. Noel is the current Executive Director at MOAR (Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery).
